Pedro v2 #2

Pedro v1 #2, 1950 – A supporting character from the Judy Canova show, Pedro mostly reinforced Mexican stereotypes of the era. This golden age humor comic was the second of this short-lived series. I’ve sometimes seen Wally Wood credited with the story “The Flying Trapeze”, but was more likely the artist of “The Beeg Bool Thrower”. Regardless, the artwork throughout is abysmal, even by Fox standards. It’s hard to imagine Wood would do such poor drawings and layouts, even this early in his career. My best guess is he provided only the inks for the story. This is 2 of 2 Pedro issues by Wood
